The STEM curriculum is an acronym that stands for science, technology engineering and mathematics. These four fields are crucial to our economy as they produce the innovations of tomorrow – from tools like 3D printers or smart watches with computer chips inside them! Sounds like the jobs of tomorrow require some serious skills. The National Science Foundation reports that these fields are growing twice as fast, which is why we need to start thinking about training our students now so they can take advantage before everyone else!

STEM Education Benefits

We know that these are some of the most rewarding and fastest-growing jobs in our society. If we want to ensure economic growth, then it’s important for students with an interest or potential future success on their minds to be able to access education appropriate enough so they can succeed here!

STEM jobs are projected to grow by 8.8%. In particular, software development employment has increased by 22% over the past few years and is expected to continue growing in the coming decades according to an industry report from STEM Jobs Councils – whose members include employers like Google or NASA who hire people with skills related primarily towards Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics (STEM).

These numbers show how much opportunity there really is when it comes down to choosing between a career as an engineer versus someone working at supermarket stocking shelves; not only do they offer similar pay rates but also vary widely depending upon one’s field of interest which makes them each valuable

Why STEM Education is so Important

Mathematics is the foundation of all STEM-related subject matters. So why should you care about it? Math plays an essential role in many areas that are relevant today, such as finance and economy or even technology! For example, one recent study found out 60% per cent of all new jobs will require some formulae skills from math professionals within 20 years’ time
The importance cannot be understated when considering what type of career path would suit your interests best- if math isn’t really something people think about too much outside their normal classroom setting then maybe engineering might better fit–but no matter which profession falls into.

STEM education is important because it helps students develop critical thinking skills. These are the sorts of inquisitive minds we need to remain competitive in today’s world where technology and industry continue evolving at breakneck speeds! In fact, a recent study by NCWJ found that over 80% per cent off manufacturing executives believe innovation will make them stronger competitors for jobs (and not just trade secrets). The greatest innovators are those who can think outside the box.

Thirdly, STEM education is important because it prepares students for the future. In today’s world, technology continues to change and evolve at a rapid pace that requires people who can keep up with these changes in order not to be left behind by their own advancements or those others may wish they had access to but don’t know how yet!  We know that in order for our students to be successful and thrive, they need a rigorous STEM education. We provide them with the skills necessary so they can succeed not only now but also in the future economy!

STEM Education curriculum

We can start by making sure that STEM is a part of our curriculum. This way, all students will have access to quality education in the field and they’ll be able to learn about what interests them too! We also need more resources for these types of subjects so there’s no excuse for not knowing how something works if you don’t already understand it from personal experience. We can promote STEM education to students and parents. These are just a few things that will help ensure all children have access to quality STEM education!

Conclusion

The future is coming much sooner than we realize. STEM education will be key for success in the workforce, but only if it’s available to everyone- which means that now more than ever there needs to be strong support of quality science and technology education throughout all levels of society!
